WordPress development environment – Aptana, Virtualbox and Google Code

At work we always have a pretty hefty development environment. At home I’ve never had any dedicated environment for my web development. It’s both a relief and something I miss.

One.com allowed image upload max image size

I’ve had some problems uploading images to my one.com hosted WordPress (v 2.9.2) blog. It seems like they have increased the allowed upload sizes / allowed memory so I’ll make a test with some different images.

Start and stop Selenium Server with NUnit

I want to have our Selenium tests to run automatically the same way as our other NUnit tests does. This means that I want to have the Selenium Server started automatically before running the test cases.

  1. I started by downloading the Selenium RC and unzipped it to C:SeleniumSelenium-RC
  2. I created a .NET project where I referenced the ThoughtWorks DLLs in C:SeleniumSelenium-RCselenium-dotnet-client-driver-1.0.1
  3. I added a new class to where I copied the Selenium getting started C# class
  4. I added my own TestFixtureSetup and a TestFixtureTeardown to this class.

Windows rescue disk

When I did a re-installation of my Windows box recently I figured that I should create a rescue disk containing all service packs, drivers and some tools. I searched around a bit to see what was available and found that most people recommended Nortot Ghost, but I didn’t want to pay $70 so I kept on looking and found out that Device Image could create a disk image of a partition (or complete disk) which was what I needed.… Fortsätt läsa
