Custom Feeds in Wordpress
I have noticed that it can be annoying to subscribe to a feed about a specific subject and get peoples personal posts in that feed when I don’t know the person that are writing. Wordpress support subscribing to different categories instead of all categories.
So I restructured my blog and made the General category containing posts that are of a general type (only). If you are not interested in personal stuff you can instead of subscribing to the “normal” feed, subscribe to the following feed: http://olalindberg.com/blog/category/general/feed/ instead of the “normal” feed: http://olalindberg.com/blog/feed/.
Is this a good or bad thing? Comments, ideas anything are welcome!
I plan to create an aggregator for all my feeds where one can select more in depth the feeds that are interesting but that will be a later story!
