Eyvind is back on the roof!

Today when I went down to watch Eyvind a guy came and we talked about how to help him/her. He took his jacket and captured Eyvind and put him back on the roof! Hope Eyvind don’t fall down again!

He also told me that it was Göteborgs Ornitologiska Förening you should call if you saw an injured bird.

Still alive!

The seagull baby is still alive! I did feed it with a macaroni. I think it liked it. His/her name is Eyvind. Here is a photo of Eyvinds mum and dad.

Tomorow I’ll bring more food and some water (I think). Does anyone know if there are any thing like animal police that can come and help Eyvind?

When I was on my way home today I saw a baby seagull that has fallen out of it’s nest. The seagull mum and dad was frustrated and attacked me when I should get my bike. It was so sad and it will probably be even more sad tomorow when I come to work.

Project SEAGRID - Done!

The forth semester’s project (at the IT University), SEAGRID, was aimed to create a simulation of an automatic container harbor. The project was a mid size project with about 50 team members. To organize the project all team members where split into nine different teams, all with its own responsibilities.

I had two roles in SEAGRID where the first was as a team leader for the project team responsible for the network connection between all different nodes in the system. My other role was as a developer on parts of the network code. There are much learnings from being in such a big project, of which the most obvious is to realize how much work information and knowledge synchronization between different teams requires. Another learning is that the overall architecture and requirements affect how effective the organization works. A clear architecture is crucial to split the work load between different teams as early as possible.

Reports and source code from SEAGRID is available below:

I worked in the distributed systems team. See chapter 4 in the report for more information.

…on our way home from grocery shopping with two BIG paper bags and two BIG backpacks!

We started in Moelndal. 12 minutes until next tram no 4. We waited. When we arrive at Korsvaegen! Guess what! 18 minutes until next tram 6!

Voila! A buss that was heading to the Central station! That’s really close to us! Lets catch that one and take the buss home from the Central station. It’s only one stop from home home and there are plenty of buses that we can go by!

At the Central station buss no 52 arrived. I have been using this buss to and from school one month this winter when I thought it was impossible to go by bike. So we jumped on the buss…

…and Vaesttrafik has changed buss no 52.. So it doesn’t pass Svingeln any more. YHEAS! One step back… We are at Heden.. We decided to walk the 500 meter from Heden to Ullevi, where we took tram no 3.. And finally home.. almost one hour for a trip that usually doesn’t take more than 15 minutes.
